Our beloved business began over three decades ago when two adventurous mothers embarked on a journey. Fuelled by a love for local creativity, they recognized the demand for a platform to showcase talented individuals and sell their wares. This ethos has remained steadfast throughout the years and is now championed by Andrea Shelton, a diligent and visionary entrepreneur, as she leads Creative & Brave into fresh and thrilling ventures.

Since the age of seventeen, I've immersed myself in the retail world, a passion that has remained steadfast throughout my life. My enthusiasm for products and collaborating with creative minds knows no bounds. Over a span of 21 years, I had the privilege of working with one of New Zealand's cherished companies, The Farmers Trading Company. In roles as a Buyer and Merchandise Manager, I globe trotted to various retail destinations, attending trade fairs and touring factories, always on the hunt for exceptional products to showcase in our stores.

In 2022, fuelled by courage and a desire to explore new horizons, I took a leap of faith. I bid farewell to my beloved Farmers family to venture into the realm of fashion, launching my own small label as a testament to my passion and entrepreneurial spirit. By mid-2023, I felt the itch to embark on another exciting journey. That's when I stumbled upon an opportunity to acquire a New Zealand Gift Store. Having been a devoted customer since its days as Texan Art Schools, particularly at its distinctive Newmarket location, I saw a reflection of my own creative and audacious nature in this venture.

What truly resonates with me about this brand is its ethos. It champions and uplifts other creative souls, empowering them to pursue and realize their aspirations. I am wholeheartedly committed to supporting and fostering this community of innovative and brave individuals.
