Greenstone & Pounamu
New Zealand Pounamu (Greenstone) is such an incredibly precious stone and holds a lot of significance for us here. Pounamu is often gifted on special occasions like landmark birthdays, Christenings, Graduations or when someone important is leaving the country. A Pounamu carving is also a wonderful memento of New Zealand or reminder of home. What could be more special than travelling the world with a taonga (treasure) around your neck and close to your heart as a reminder of this beautiful country. Our main artists working with Pounamu are all based here in Aotearoa and you can read more about them here: Ernesto Ovalle, Nick Feint, Nick VonK. All of the pieces in this collection come boxed with an info card about the jeweller. All of Ernesto’s pieces will include an info card describing the significance of each design.
