Marc Zuckerman is a self taught woodworker with over 40 years experience. His designs are contemporary and his construction is impeccable. Each piece is finished to perfection and comes beautifully boxed with an info card describing the properties of the wood. We think his wooden serve ware is the finest you will find in New Zealand, his respect of the material and knowledge of each tree's properties is evident in each piece. "We arrived in Hokitika in April 1971. As an exploration geologist I fell in love with the ruggedness of the West Coast. In the process of building our house I became consumed by the desire to be involved in woodwork and design. The peacefulness of our environment inspires the simplicity in my work which I consider minimalist modern with a pacific influence."
