New Zealand’s favourite song bird, recognisable with its white tuft under its neck. The top frame is adorned with Karaka berries, a favourite food of the Tūī. It is an inimitable songster, a remarkable mimic, and it can even be taught to talk.
Little Taonga
Ngāi Tahu, Rangitāne and Ngāti Kuia artist Cezanne Lyons is the creative mind behind Little Taonga. Taonga means treasure in Te Reo Māori, and it’s an apt description for the beautiful pieces that Cezanne designs. Cezanne is inspired by her culture and her love for Aotearoa, as well as the picturesque nature and wildlife surrounding her in Mangamaunu.
