We are the most connected through the internet and social media, however rates of depression, anxiety and loneliness are the highest ever reported. This sometimes contradicts the images that are seen on social media of everybody having such a good time. This piece is about having real eye to eye and genuine conversations. I’ve used pink to represent compassion nurturing and love, the gladioli flower and titanium chain represent strength and courage and the two birds represent a friend or family member.

Angie is continually inspired by the unique landscape of New Zealand and is constantly pushing boundaries on how she sees life in her new found land. Angie exhibits in a number of galleries around New Zealand and has just setup a new studio at Victoria Park Market, where she creates her unique and original artwork.
