A distinctive heart shape leaf, Kawakawa, from the Maori word Kawa, meaning `bitter', has been used throughout Maori history as a tea for medicinal purposes. Kawakawa leaves are also traditionally worn after the loss of a loved one.
Three sterling silver 10mm leaves, handpainted and suspended from a 45cm fine sterling silver chain, with a 5cm extender. Each leaf is individually handpainted, so no two leaves are identical. Each necklace is one of a kind.
