Kina Hoops Glass - Sea Blue

These lovely Kina Hoops are individually crafted on the blowtorch. Each Kina is coloured with powdered glass before being shaped and formed. Once cool, the glass is coldworked and popped into a tumber to give that lovely sea-glass look.

Every piece of Wearing Glass is individually crafted to order, so each pair of earrings will be truly unique. Due to the handmade nature, every piece is different and products may vary slightly from images shown.

  • Made with aroha in their Auckland studio
  • Each piece of glass is hand crafted
  • Sustainably sourced silver hoops, 1.9cm in diameter
  • The glass kina are approximately 1cm in diameter, super detailed and dainty!

Wearing Glass by Isla Osborne

Wearing Glass is a collection of artistic glass jewellery hand made by artisan and well recognised jeweller Isla Osborne. Every tiny glass art piece is individually lampworked making each piece of jewellery and truly handmade. A refreshing change in a market saturated by mass produced replicas. Isla’s earlier glass pieces were stocked with Texan Art Schools ( our previous name ) and developed a strong following. We are beyond thrilled that Isla is now a part of Creative & Brave and is launching her wonderful and contemporary range with us.

The pieces of Wearing Glass at Creative and Brave are all beautifully crafted in Isla’s Grey Lynn studio. Each piece comes beautifully presented in a signature box, well packaged with attention to detail in respect of the delicate nature of the jewellery.

Wearing Glass

Wearing glass started as a part time creative adventure and has developed into a passion for glass jewellery. And because every bit of glass is individually lampworked, each piece of jewellery is unique. A refreshing change in a market saturated by mass produced replicas.

Beads of Courage

Isla supports the Child Cancer Foundation by donating beads to the Beads of Courage programme. Beads of Courage provides a physical story of a child’s journey recognising their strength and courage during their cancer journey. Each bead represents a treatment (for example chemotherapy, injections, scans); an experience (hair loss, isolation, fever) or milestone (completion of treatment).
