"My artwork for 2020 is inspired by self-reflection and the ongoing search for happiness. I’ve heard that the secret to happiness is when you stop looking for it. 2020 has been a year none of us will forget due to the global effects of COVID 19. Many people I’ve spoken to have talked about how lockdown was a time of reflection and working out what was important or not to them, as always my pieces aim to create further discussion on the subject."
Identity (2020) –This piece is an extension of the diversity range I released in 2019 and aims to challenge us to question what is the New Zealand identity? In this piece the kiwi bird known as an informal name for New Zealanders, the hibiscus flower to represent our proximity to the pacific ocean and islands and the Māori bowl as a recognition of New Zealand’s history with the indigenous Māori people.
*Please note that there is an initial delay with this collection as these prints are lovingly being prepared behind the scenes. We aim to have them dispatched August 27th
For a truly stunning piece of art we highly recommend an Angie Dennis print. Angie is one of our most embraced artists here at Creative and Brave.
