This Matariki we focus on the symbol of the seven sister star cluster intermingled with themes of the sea. Rolling waves and waka tell the story of navigators guided by stars. We have beautiful wahine treasure bowls suspended inside starry skyscapes, the seven sisters of Matariki. And a very sweet interpretation of the seven sisters sparkling in the night on our indigo merino mittens and scarves. Delightful wave bowls and vases are hand carved by Borrowed Earth for this special time of the year.
Completely hand made using clay and a process for glazing and scraffitto techniques. All pieces are fired ceramics and therefore water safe.
Ring bowl measures approx. 7cm wide by 3cm high
