Founded in 2012 by Amy Burke - Botanical is handmade using nature's best ingredients, right here in Aotearoa. Amy grew up on a farm in rural Nelson where her grandparents owned the neighbouring farm, “I grew up working with my grandmother, who had a traditional meadow, cottage and herb garden in the Orinoco Valley”. She taught Amy the benefits of the herbs and plants throughout her garden, “As children, we would help her with the gardens and surrounded by her medicinal plants and home remedies, she shared her knowledge of the properties of each plant”. This nurtured Amy’s appreciation for fragrance and florals, thus Botanical was established, with her first ever batches of cold pressed soaps. Today, each product is made in small batches for freshness, are totally cruelty free, and the team is passionate about creating ethical products for customers to enjoy and use every day.
