The Story Behind 100% NZ

After working with photographers in London, New York, and Australia, Reuben returned home to photograph the amazing landscapes of New Zealand. Currently living in Auckland and travelling the country at every opportunity, he often finds himself well off the beaten track in his quest to capture the perfect picture.

International Experience

In New York, Reuben managed a photography company and set up a successful digital print studio. This experience laid the foundation for what would become Reuben Price Gallery and 100% NZ.

Growing the Business

Started in 2002, 100% NZ has grown to include a fine art print studio, picture framing department, warehouse, design studio, and an amazing team – all based in Auckland and designing and producing as much as possible locally.

Photography Style & Approach

Landscape Photography

Reuben’s photographic prints feature dramatic landscapes, city scenes, landmarks, and small moments – all brought to life in vivid colour or bold monochrome. His stunning photos of New Zealand are printed on archival paper with a matte finish and crisp picture quality.

Botanical Art

His New Zealand Flora series represents “botanical art re-invented for a photographic age.” A custom-built flower press – built by Reuben himself – is the first step in creating this artwork. He then photographs the subject in ultra-high resolution in a controlled light environment, creating stunning botanical prints.

Archival Quality

All prints are produced using archival-quality inks and papers, ensuring your artwork will last for generations. The matte finish and crisp picture quality make each print a true collector’s piece.
