Chunky are a NZ based company on a mission: to give artists free reign to adorn the everyday and to bring creativity to the commonplace.
Chunky was launched in Queenstown, New Zealand in 2017 - originally collaborating with 2 artists to create 4 designs that would bring something different to the market - at that point all sold out of their single store in Queenstown. They now boast a beautiful range of unique designs from 20 artists, both homegrown and international!
The team at Chunky know how hard it is for emerging artists to get a break, which is why they don’t work with established artists, only working with those that haven’t found the exposure they deserve.
With a strong emphasis on doing the right thing for their artists, customers and the environment - Chunky are exemplary of a humble, homegrown start up business - by paying their artists well for their work, introducing a bottle recycling initiative, supporting local schools and organisations through donations of their product, and much more.
