Originally from England, Graham has lived in New Zealand since 1982 - and over time his adopted home has become the primary inspiration in his work. Originally trained in photolithography, Graham had a long career in the print industry, which also included running his own design and prepress studio. In the early 2000’s Graham returned to concentrate on his first passion of oil painting and since then he has exhibited widely here in Aotearoa, with his works making their way into collections here and overseas. Graham has built a reputation for creating realistic paintings that capture familiar scenes found throughout Aotearoa - representing the laid-back lifestyle and classic kiwiana memories while also focusing on the human imprint we leave on our surroundings, a vital part of Graham’s work.
