David Owen 

After studying graphic design at the Wellington School of Design in the 1980’s - David Owen worked for various Wellington newspapers - specialising in both graphic design and illustration for many years - and after moving from print media he spent about 11 years working in special effects at Weta Studios, eventually as a ‘texture artist’, bringing things to life with an amazing sense of realism - influence you can see in his painting now.  David’s artistic career has spanned 40 years, and he exhibits regularly around Aotearoa - now based in Raumati South on the beautiful Kapiti Coast, he continues to explore his imagination and illustrate & create.
