Mānuka Mug - Matte Turquoise

These mugs are so beautifully made, with a clean design and yet hold a generous cuppa! Complete with a botanical leaf impression of the New Zealand Manuka tree. 

Once the manuka was considered only good for firewood needing to be cleared for farmland. The honey is dark and viscous with a strong flavor and not considered good until it recently was discovered to have unique and valuable medicinal properties.

Steiner Ceramics by Bob Steiner 

One of our most renowned ceramic artists in Aotearoa, Bob has over 30 years experience - with a background in the traditional method of handcrafted pottery, but also mastering sculptural design and slip casting. The creative journey began at age 14, with Bob’s father recognising his talent and building his first throwing wheel, from there going on to formally study at Elam and since then continuing to develop his craft. 

Each piece is created at his boutique studio in Auckland, with a small team of dedicated helpers alongside. Often finding inspiration in the natural world, a moment from one of Bob’s bush walks has the ability to transform into something real, and across their huge range the team create gorgeous pieces with a mixture of contemporary design and inspiration from our native flora and fauna - that capture the essence of Aotearoa.
